EchoExam works with your ExamView Desktop content. You can import any ExamView .tst file into EchoExam to begin using it to create tests.
EchoExam will not import feedback and rationale, or answer information for Short Answer and Essay questions. Yes / No questions from ExamView will be imported as True / False questions with the appropriate answer options. Completion questions from ExamView will be imported as Short Answer questions. Matching questions from ExamView will be imported as Multiple Choice questions. Problem, Case, and Other questions from ExamView will be imported as Essay questions. Numeric Response questions will only support integer and decimal responses. Numeric Response questions with other response requirements (e.g., fractions) will be imported as Short Answer.
Import Your .tst Files
- Log into EchoExam using your Instructor account.
- Click the Create button and select Import.
- Click Choose Files.
Your device File Explorer will open.
- Navigate to the ExamView .tst file you would like to import.
ExamView Tests v1 and newer are supported.
- Select a question bank and click Open.
The Import Confirmation appears.
Use
Ctrl
+ Click orCommand
+ Click to select and import multiple .tst and .bnk files at once. - Click Close to close the Question Import window.
Your import will process in the background as you work. Depending on the size of your .tst file, it may take a few minutes to process. You will receive an email when your import has been completed successfully. If experiencing an ExamView .tst file that will not import, ensure that it meets the above criteria and contact support for additional assistance.
- After processing, the imported test(s) will appear in My Library > Tests.
You may need to refresh your page.
Once added, you can deliver it to your learners as an online exam or a printed test.
