The EchoVideo mobile app provides a complete viewing experience for course media. Depending on how your instructor has configured your course, you can watch recordings, presentations, and interactive media; participate in classroom activities; communicate with your instructor and classmates; and personalize your viewing experience on your mobile device.
Note: The features available to you vary based on your instructor's course configuration, the content they have published, and your institution's settings. If a feature described in this article is not available, it may not be enabled for that media or your course.
Bookmarks
Bookmarks help you save important moments while watching course media so you can quickly return to them later. Your bookmarks remain associated with the media, making it easier to review key sections whenever you need them.
To learn more, see EchoVideo: Using Notes and Bookmarks in the Mobile App.
Confusion Flags
If you encounter unclear content, you can mark that point in the recording with a confusion flag. You can also remove a confusion flag after your question has been answered, or you better understand the material.
See EchoVideo: Adding or Removing Confusion Flags in the Mobile App for additional information.
Discussion Posts and Notes
Depending on how your instructor has configured the media, you can add new discussion posts or personal notes directly while viewing content. These tools help you participate in class discussions and capture important information.
Refer to the following articles for detailed instructions:

Interactive Media
Interactive media combines video with embedded learning activities that encourage active participation throughout playback. Depending on how the media was created, you may encounter questions or other interactive elements that require your input before you can continue.
See EchoVideo: Engaging with Interactive Media in the Mobile App for additional information.
Note: Interactive media is different from presentations. Interactive media contains embedded activities within the video itself, while presentations display synchronized presentation slides alongside recorded media.
Player Controls
The EchoVideo mobile app includes built-in player controls to manage playback when viewing recordings, presentations, and interactive media. You can play or pause content, navigate to different points in the timeline, adjust playback speed, access closed captions, switch between available media channels when multiple views are available, and customize your viewing experience without leaving the media player.
Refer to EchoVideo: Using the Mobile Media Player Controls for detailed instructions
Polling Slides
If your instructor has included polling questions in a presentation, you can submit responses directly from your mobile device while viewing the presentation. Polling activities provide an opportunity to check your understanding, participate during class, or complete instructor-directed activities.
Refer to EchoVideo: Using Your Mobile Phone to Respond to Polling Slides for detailed instructions.
Presentations
Presentations combine recorded media with synchronized presentation slides to create an integrated viewing experience. While viewing a presentation, you can navigate between slides, follow along with the recording, and interact with available classroom activities such as polling questions.
For more information, see EchoVideo: Viewing and Interacting with Presentations through the Mobile App.
Transcripts
If your instructor has enabled media transcripts, you can follow along with the spoken content as you watch a recording. Transcripts make it easier to locate specific topics, improve accessibility, and review course material at your own pace.
To learn more, see EchoVideo: Using Transcripts in the Mobile App.
