You can use EchoVideo to proctor an exam from EchoExam live or asynchronously. Instructors must first create an Exam in EchoExam as usual and then assign it.
Proctor an Exam
With Teams
- Instructor-led proctoring is recorded and ingested into EchoVideo using the Teams integration.
- The instructor must allow Microsoft Teams in the exam's advanced integrity settings for browser lock exams.
For instructor-led proctoring, the instructor (or a teaching assistant, etc.) can monitor learners live while they take the exam, and then review the recording after the fact if there are any concerns or additional action needed.
With Zoom
- Instructor-led proctoring is recorded and ingested into EchoVideo using the Zoom integration.
- The instructor must allow Zoom in the exam's advanced integrity settings for browser lock exams.
For instructor-led proctoring, the instructor (or a teaching assistant, etc.) can monitor learners live while they take the exam, and then review the recording after the fact if there are any concerns or additional action needed.
With EchoVideo
- Asynchronous proctoring is recorded by the learner using the EchoVideo Browser Capture or Universal Capture.
An admin must turn on the Student library and Student Software Downloads so that learners can download the Universal Capture installers.
- The instructor must enable EchoVideo in the exam's advanced integrity settings for browser lock exams.
For asynchronous exam proctoring, instructors should create a collection where students can upload their recordings. After the exam, instructors can review each student's submission. Until student upload permissions are available in EchoVideo folders, students can be temporarily added as TAs to the folder to enable uploads.
