Any question can be tagged with additional information to help you quickly create tests and find content. Question metadata assists you in keeping track of learning standards, question difficulty, topics, and more to ensure that your tests are meeting curriculum, school district, state, and other requirements.
When creating or editing a question, you can add any of your existing metadata. Metadata must be created before it can be added to a question. If you import a question bank, test, or RTF file into EchoExam, any associated metadata will be imported and automatically added to your metadata library.
There is no limit to the number of metadata tags you can use. Metadata is organized in a nested hierarchy. This hierarchy helps you group tags into broad themes. Creating relevant metadata within each that highlights specific topics, skills, or concepts ensures you can quickly sort and filter questions, making it easy to build targeted assessments or tests based on specific content areas. You must be logged into EchoExam to create, edit, and use metadata.
