EchoExam works with your ExamView Desktop content. You can import any ExamView .bnk file into EchoExam to begin using it to create tests.

EchoExam will not import answer information for Short Answer and Essay questions. Yes / No questions from ExamView will be imported as True / False questions with the appropriate answer options. Completion questions from ExamView will be imported as Short Answer questions. Problem, Case, and Other questions from ExamView will be imported as Essay questions. Numeric Response questions will only support integer and decimal responses. Numeric Response questions with other response requirements (e.g., fractions) will be imported as Short Answer.

Import Your .bnk Files

1. From a web browser, go to your region's login page:
   
   • North / South America
   • Europe / Africa / Middle East
   • Asia Pacific
2. Enter your email address and click Sign In.
3. If you are part of multiple institutions, from the dropdown, choose your institution and click Sign In.
4. Enter your password and click Sign In.
5. Click the Create button and select Import.
6. Click Choose Files.
   

   Your device File Explorer will open.

7. Navigate to the ExamView .bnk file you would like to import.
   

   ExamView Question Banks v1 and newer are supported.
   Imports can have a maximum file size of 10MB. If multiple files are selected, the limit is checked against the total file size for the selected files.

8. Select a question bank and click Open.
   

   The Import Confirmation appears.

   Use Ctrl + Click or Command + Click to select and import multiple .tst and .bnk files at once.

9. Click Close to close the Question Import window.
   

   Your import will process in the background as you work. Depending on the size of your .bnk file, it may take a few minutes to process. You will receive an email when your import has been completed successfully. If experiencing an ExamView .bnk file that will not import, ensure that it meets the above criteria and contact support for additional assistance.

10. After processing, the imported question bank(s) will appear in My Library > Question Banks.
    

    You may need to refresh your page.

Once added, you can open your question bank to edit the questions, rename, duplicate, or delete the question bank.
