Options
Use the Options tab to configure a variety of WorkSpace features.
User Selectable Folders
When WorkSpace is installed, six User Selectable Folders are created in the Documents\InterWrite WorkSpace folder. These folders provide default locations for GWB image files, exported presentation files, images for the Gallery, graphics to use with the Stamper tool and AVI files.
- Images stored in the User Pictures Folder can be accessed in My Gallery, which is opened from the Gallery Menu. Images can also be used by the Create Image Page tool as Image Page backgrounds, or inserted on a page in the Annotation Window using the Insert Media tool.
- User-supplied stamps will be displayed in the Properties Bar for the Stamper tool. Both images and stamps must be in BMP, GIF, JPEG, TIFF or PNG format.
- The Record and Playback tool will play any AVI recording stored in the User Recordings Folder by opening the default video player on the system.
- To change the location of a folder, select the folder in the User Selectable Folders list, click Browse and navigate to a new location.
General
The following settings are housed in the General tab.
Allow Window Sizing
By default, the WorkSpace window may be resized and moved.
Blank Page Background Color
Click the box to set a background color. The default background color is white.
Image Page Background Color
Click the box to set an image background color. The default background color is white.
Image Page Display Option
Select a position to align the Image Page display. Available options are center, left and right.
Use Transparency for Pictures
If set to Yes, color transparency will be available for images.
Transparent Color for Pictures
Click the box to set a color for images. The default color is white.
Exclude Menu Bar from Screen Capture
If set to yes, the Mac Menu Bar will be omitted from WorkSpace screen captures when the Capture tool is used.
NOTEThe Menu Bar will still appear in Mac screenshots via the standard Apple commands.
Select Language
This option allows you to select the preferred language for WorkSpace, including menu and dialog text.
Automatically Save Pages Every
Presentation files are automatically saved as they are created. By default, the page is set to save every five minutes. Auto Save can be disabled, or the frequency can be changed, by selecting a different time interval from the menu.
Grid Page
Select the Grid Page tab from the Preferences window to determine grid page settings.
Background Color
Click the box to set a background color. The default color is yellow.
Horizontal Line Color
Click the box to set the horizontal line color. The default color is blue.
Vertical Line Color
Click the box to set the vertical line color. The default color is blue.
Horizontal Line Style
Click the drop-down menu to set the horizontal line style. Available options are solid, dash, dot and dash-dot.
Vertical Line Style
Click the drop-down menu to set the vertical line style. Available options are solid, dash, dot and dash-dot.
Horizontal Line Width
Set the width/thickness of the horizontal lines on the grid page (in pixels). Default width is one pixel.
Vertical Line Width
Set the width/thickness of the vertical lines on the grid page (in pixels). Default width is one pixel.
Horizontal Line Spacing
Set the spacing between two consecutive horizontal lines on the grid page. Default spacing is 30 pixels. Spacing can be increased or decreased in multiples of five pixels.
Vertical Line Spacing
Set the spacing between two consecutive vertical lines on the grid page. Default spacing is 30 pixels. Spacing can be increased or decreased in multiples of five pixels.
