Habitat associates any project a user creates with the organization to which the user belongs, regardless of the template used to create it. Because of this, customers and service providers must note the following important points:
- If a customer collaborates with a service provider on an EchoInk project, the customer must create the project to retain ownership of it on the EchoInk platform. Projects that a service provider creates are owned by the service provider.
- An exception to the above is the collaboration between EchoInk and the service provider Aptara. Both EchoInk and Aptara will be able to create projects on behalf of their customers, and these projects will have the correct ownership on the EchoInk platform.
- This project ownership functionality does not apply to projects created prior to July 28, 2015. EchoInk has retroactively assigned the correct ownership to all pre-existing projects.
