Instructors now have enhanced visibility and control over how their content is used across the platform. The new usage insights feature allows instructors to see where their questions or files have been added. You must be logged into your EchoExam account to view your content usage.
View a question's content usage
- From My Library, select Questions as shown in the figure below.
All of your questions are displayed.
- Search and / or use the filters to find a question.
- Click the vertical action dots to open the menu for that question.
- Select Usage, as shown in the figure below.
The Question Usage modal opens.
The Question Usage modal shows the Test(s) and Question Bank(s) where the question you selected is used. Each section shows a usage count in parenthesis. If used, a count and a search bar appears to filter by Test or Question Bank name, owner name, or email. Results appear in a table with Test or Question Bank name and owner, including items the asset owner does not have access to.
Instructors can immediately remove the asset from any listed Test or Question Bank using the remove button.
View a file's content usage
- From My Library, select Files as shown in the figure below.
All of your questions are displayed.
- Search and / or use the filters to find a question.
- Click the vertical action dots to open the menu for that file.
- Select Usage, as shown in the figure below.

The File Usage modal shows the Question Bank(s) and Narrative(s) / Case Studies where the file you selected is used. Each section shows a usage count in parenthesis. If used, a count and a search bar appears to filter by Question Bank or Narrative / Case Studies name, owner name, or email. Results appear in a table with Question Bank or Narrative / Case Studies name and owner, including items the asset owner does not have access to.
Instructors can immediately remove the asset from any listed Questions or Narratives / Case Studies using the remove button.
