Instructors may want to share content to collaborate on teaching strategies, ensure course consistency, save time, improve student outcomes, receive feedback, and support new or substitute instructors. Sharing content fosters a more efficient and effective teaching environment.
For tests including content from Publisher Titles, shared users may need to have redeemed the associated title in order to view the publisher questions within the test, print the test, or use the test in an exam.
The following content may be shared:
- Tests
- Questions
- Question Banks
- Files
- Case Studies / Narratives
To share content, you must be logged in to your EchoExam account.
Share Content
- Find the item you want to share.
All tests, questions, question banks, files, and case studies / narratives are shared similarly.
- Click the vertical action menu of that item, shown in the figure below.
- Select Share.
The Share Content modal opens.
- Enter the email address(es) of user(s) you want to share this content with.
- Optionally, click the Select a User dropdown and choose from the listed users.
Use the search bar to narrow down the results.
- Click Add.
- Choose which permission(s) the user has with the shared content.
- Add - Permission to use questions in tests, link questions and narratives, and create exams from tests.
- Edit - Permission to edit shared content, including text, settings, linked items, and deleting the content.

Share - Permission to share content with other instructors and administrators and adjust shared content permissions.
- Click Save.
The content is now shared and identified as such, as shown in the figure below.
Bulk Share Content
Bulk sharing allows you to quickly share multiple questions or case studies / narratives.
- Select the questions or case studies / narratives you want to share.
- From the bulk actions menu, choose Share, as shown in the figure below.
The Share Content modal opens.
- Enter the email addresses of users you want to share this content with.
- Optionally, click the Select a User dropdown and choose from the listed users.
Use the search bar to narrow down the results.
- Click Add.
