The Learner Report provides learners with detailed information on each exam they take. Learners can quickly review their exam performance.
Access the Learner Report
- Log in to EchoExam using your Learner account.
You will see the My Courses page, which lists all the courses you are enrolled in.
- Use your cursor or the Tab key to navigate to the course you want to open, then click Open Course.
Your Course Dashboard displays with Upcoming / In Progress Exams, Course Score, and Course Information.
- Click Exams from the upper right corner.
All of your Not Started, Started, Upcoming, Missed, and Complete exams are shown on this page.
- Optionally, use the drop-down at the top to filter by status.
- Optionally, use the search bar to find a specific exam.
- Click Results for an exam to view the Learner Report.
The Learner Report for the exam you clicked displays.
There are four sections in the Learners Report. Each one is covered in more detail below.
Course / Exam Information
The left of this section displays the Course name and instructor name(s).
To the right of this section, the Start Date / Time and End Date / Time of the exam are displayed. If the exam had an overall time limit, the time limit is displayed. If the exam was not timed or was timed per question, a time limit is not shown.
My Performance
In My Performance, cards for the learner's statistics are shown.
This section will only display if the instructor enabled it for the exam.
Attempt Filter
The Attempt filter allows learners to view the details for any exam attempt. The most recent, or final graded attempt, is displayed by default.
Status
Status identifies whether the attempt Passed or Failed based on the instructor-set threshold. There are three possible statuses.
- Pass - The learner’s score was equal to or above the passing threshold set by the instructor.
- Failed - The learner’s score was below the instructor's passing threshold.
- Missed - The learner did not submit an attempt on the exam.
Rank
Rank shows the learner's rank among all learners assigned to the exam.
Percentile
The percentile shows the number of learners on the exam who scored higher than the individual. A learner in the 80th percentile scored higher than 80% of the learners assigned to the exam.
Attempt Details
In Attempt Details, cards for the learner's statistics are shown.
This section will only display if the instructor enabled it for the exam.
Points Score
The points score shows the points earned by the learner over the possible points for the exam. Only final learner scores are included; scores on previous attempts are not shown.
Percentage Score
The percentage score displays the points scored converted to a percentage. It is rounded to the nearest tenth of a percent.
Time Spent
Time Spent displays the time the learner spent on the exam attempt.
Roster Performance
In Roster Performance, cards for the exam's statistics are shown.
This section will only display if the instructor enabled it for the exam.
Average Score
The Average Score shows the sum of all learner percentage scores divided by the total number of learners for the exam.
Median Score
The Median Score is the middle value of learner scores if all scores were arranged / ranked from lowest to highest.
Standard Deviation
Standard deviation shows how much exam scores differ from the average. If it is low, most students scored about the same. If it is high, scores were more spread out.
Low Score
The Low Score is the lowest score on the exam, including 0% scores for learners who did not complete any attempts.
High Score
The High Score is the highest score on the exam.
Average Time Spent
Average Time Spent shows the sum of all the time learners spent on the exam divided by the total number of learners for the exam.
Questions
The information displayed on the question card depends on whether the card is collapsed or expanded.

The details in this section depend only on the instructor's exam settings.
Question Type and Preview
The question type and a preview of the question stem are shown. The expanded question card displays the whole question, answer choices, and the correct answer.
Points
Points are the points earned for the question. This only displays if the instructor enabled it for the exam.
Possible Points
This is the maximum number of points the instructor can award for the question. This only displays if the instructor enabled it for the exam.
Correct / Incorrect
For each question and each learner, an icon indicates whether the learner answered the question correctly. This only displays if the instructor enabled it for the exam.
- A checkmark indicates fully correct (all possible points earned).
- A backslash indicates partial correctness (more than 0 points earned, but not all).
- An X indicates incorrect (0 points).
- A dashed line indicates an unanswered question; either the learner did not answer the question or missed the exam and did not submit an attempt.
Time Spent
Time Spent displays the amount of time the learner spends on each question.
Time Limit (Expanded only)
A Time Limit will only appear if the question is timed.
