Admins for the organization can set additional time for specific learners with accessibility needs. This extra time works with the instructor-set time limits for the exam or questions.
- From a web browser, go to your region's login page:
- Enter your email address and click Sign In.
If you are part of multiple institutions, from the dropdown, choose your institution and click Sign In.
- Enter your password and click Sign In.
- Click on the user icon at the top right of the screen and select Manage Users.
A page opens listing all users in your EchoExam organization, their roles, status, when they last signed in, and the seats assigned to them.
- Search for or filter for the learner to edit.
- Click the three vertical dots to open the action menu for an individual learner and choose Settings.
The User Settings modal opens.
- Select the Accessibility tab.
- From the Additional Exam Time dropdown, choose the additional exam time the learner should receive.
The default is None.
- None - The learner does not get additional time on the exam beyond what the instructor has set.
- Time and a half - The learner receives additional time on the exam or on individual time questions in the exam. Instructor-set time limits are multiplied by 1.5 for the learner. (e.g., If the instructor sets the exam time limit to 60 minutes, the learner will have 90 minutes; OR if the instructor sets a time limit of 2 minutes per question, the learner will have 3 minutes per question.)
- Double time - The learner receives additional time on the exam or on individual time questions in the exam. Instructor-set time limits are multiplied by 2 for the learner. (e.g., If the instructor sets the exam time limit to 60 minutes, the learner will have 120 minutes; OR if the instructor sets a time limit of 2 minutes per question, the learner will have 4 minutes per question.)
- Click Save Changes.
The additional exam time for the learner is updated and will be available during their next exam.
