Instructors can set time limits on the overall test and set time limits on individual questions or question types. When enabled, learners see time limits so that they remain aware of the time constraints while taking an exam. Admins can set time limits per student.
Exam timers define the amount of time a learner has to complete a single attempt on the exam. That attempt can occur at any time within the availability window.
The availability window is configured in the exam settings within the course (Start and Due dates). It defines the earliest date and time a learner can begin an attempt and / or the latest date and time that the learner can submit an attempt.
