Please be aware that ChromeOS version 136 introduced new features that impact the security of Respondus LockDown Browser on Chromebook devices. Respondus is working directly with Google to resolve these issues.
If you are using managed Chromebooks, do not upgrade to ChromeOS 136 at this time. If you have already updated ChromeOS, you should revert back to ChromeOS 135.
EchoExam is a web-based application and does not have specific OS requirements. It does, however, have certain browser requirements. While we cannot test every version of every browser out there, we do test the most popular browsers and most recent versions. There also may be specific configurations you need to check or change to use EchoExam successfully.
The following are the minimum technical specifications for using EchoExam.
Operating System
EchoExam works with the operating systems below. Echo360 recommends maintaining the most current operating system version on your device; however, all operating system versions supported by the device manufacturer are acceptable.

Supported Browsers
EchoExam works with the browsers below. Echo360 recommends maintaining the most current browser version on your device; however, the previous one to two versions are acceptable.

Whitelist Information
Echo360 recommends whitelisting certain URLs, IP addresses, and email domains if you are using EchoExam. This will ensure that online resources are available to your organization's users and that all of your organization's users can receive email notifications from Echo360.
