Mobi Not Connecting to Device Manager/WorkSpace for Windows
- Check the WorkSpace version. If the WorkSpace version is under 10.0 and you are on Windows 10, you must update to version 10 of WorkSpace. Updating is recommended for all users of WorkSpace.
- Download the latest version of WorkSpace for Windows form the Turning Technologies WorkSpace downloads page.
- Run the WorkSpace installer.
- Restart the computer.
- Plug in the Mobi USB receiver and power Mobi on. The Mobi should then automatically connect.
- If prompted to pair the Mobi with a hub on the Mobi LCD screen, follow the onscreen directions. Once the Mobi is paired to the receiver, the button on the receiver should be solid blue.
- Pair the Mobi with the receiver.
- On the Mobi, tap settings on the Mobi LCD (Gear Icon) then tap Pair with hub and follow directions onscreen.
- On older Mobis without a touchscreen LCD, turn the Mobi over and press the blue pairing button, then press the blue button on the Mobi USB receiver, it will flash while pairing and turn sold blue when the devices are paired.
- Mobi saying it cannot connect to Device Manager after pairing
- Check that Device Manager is running (Launch.exe in the task manager).
- If Device Manager is not running, restart the computer, it should launch at startup.
- Open Device Manager by clicking on the icon in the lower right of the display (near the clock) and selecting Turning Technologies Tools (yellow circle with a black arrow in it), then select Device Manager.
- If a Mobi is showing with a red X, right-click on the Mobi and select Connect, it should then have a green check mark.
- If the Mobi will still not connect, right-click on the Mobi and select Remove. Then under the options menu, select Discover Devices. The Mobi should then connect and show a green check mark.
