EchoVideo provides a flexible, policy-driven framework for managing copyright and licensing. Administrators can define a custom matrix of licence types, such as Creative Commons variants, direct institutional licences, or specific statutory licences like Section 113P of the Australian Copyright Act 1968, to ensure institutional compliance is captured at the point of ingestion.
By moving from a single-policy model to a multi-licence system, EchoVideo reduces manual overhead for instructors while providing robust auditability for Copyright Officers.
