Updated Admin Dashboard

The Admin Dashboard has been refreshed with updated chart colors and improved accessibility. Source and Engagement charts are now available directly on the dashboard, making key usage insights easier for administrators to review without opening each card first.

Remote Support Toggle on Pros and Pods

Administrators can manage when EchoVideo Technical Support is permitted to remotely access Pro and Pod capture appliances for troubleshooting. This gives institutions more control over remote support access at the device level.

New Mobile Apps Available via Downloads Page

The latest EchoVideo mobile apps are available on the Downloads page, making it easy for users to find and install them in EchoVideo.

Additional Improvements

  • Universal Capture and EchoVideo capture appliances now include updates to OpenSSL 3.5.7 and OpenSSH 10.4 to address security scanning findings and keep device security components current.
  • Universal Capture for Windows now uses the updated code-signing certificate and signing process, helping to ensure Windows installers and application files remain trusted during installation and upgrades.
  • The Capture Intake API now supports marking imported media as submitted assignment content. When enabled, imported student-created videos can be delivered in a locked state, preventing editing or deletion after import.
  • The EchoVideo Public API Java SDK has been updated to version 1.2.6, adding support for the isSubmittedAssignment flag when importing media as submitted assignment content.

Epiphan Device Updates

  • Epiphan live streaming now uses the selected Live profile when scheduled from the Capture / New Capture workflow, supporting use cases where recording and streaming use different channels.
  • Live streams from Epiphan devices now honor the selected primary audio channel, so viewers hear the intended audio source in the EchoPlayer.
  • Custom live profile selection for Epiphan captures has been improved, including retaining named profile options and sending live channel information when using default custom settings.
  • Disabled Epiphan room channels are now hidden from customization options for both scheduled and ad hoc captures, helping prevent users from selecting unavailable inputs.
  • Epiphan room and device configuration workflows now provide clearer, more reliable behavior, including displaying channel names instead of channel IDs, keeping room filters accurate after adding a device, disabling actions when a room is not configured for capture, and improving Save button state handling.
  • Epiphan help links now direct administrators to the appropriate support articles for room configuration and device key management.
  • Accessibility and usability improvements were made for Epiphan scheduled capture and custom profile workflows, including improved focus handling.
