Features
Activity Tasks Are No Longer Optional
We are excited to announce the next phase of the GoReact Activity Tasks experience. Beginning August 3, 2026, Activity Tasks will become the standard activity workflow across GoReact, providing a more guided, intuitive experience for both instructors and learners.
Activity Tasks Become the GoReact Experience
Since the introduction of Activity Tasks, instructors have been able to enable or disable the feature via the New Activity View toggle. On August 17, 2026, this toggle will be removed.
After this date:
- All newly created activities will automatically use the Activity Task View.
- Existing activities that have not yet been converted will be automatically upgraded the next time they are accessed by any user.
- No manual migration is required; however, we strongly encourage curriculum developers to migrate their current and planned activities to the Activity Task View before this date to ensure the best experience for learners.
Automatic Activity Conversion
When an existing activity is converted to the Activity Task View, GoReact will automatically configure the activity based on its current settings.
During conversion:
- Only tasks that are applicable to the activity will be included.
- Existing activity settings, requirements, and workflows will be preserved.
- Task completion status will be automatically calculated and displayed correctly.
- Overall activity completion status will also be accurately reflected.
This ensures a seamless transition while maintaining the integrity of existing assignments and learner progress.
Activity Editor
New Activity Editor Experience
As part of this release, we are introducing a new Activity Editor that simplifies the creation and management of activities.
The new editor is available when:
- Creating and editing activities within folders
- Creating and editing activities when launched through a Learning Management System
- Creating and editing activity templates in the Library
This enhancement brings several important capabilities.
Activity Tasks + Master Activities
The Master Activity feature now fully supports Activity Tasks, making it easier to standardize assignment structures across courses and programs.
Save Activity Task Activities to the Library
Activities that use Activity Tasks can now be saved to and managed from the GoReact Library, making reusable templates more powerful and easier to maintain.
Understanding the New Activity Editor
The new editor introduces a different approach to configuring activities than the previous Activity Task workflows.
Instead of managing activity-level settings and activity task-level settings in separate areas, the new editor combines everything into a single, streamlined interface.
How It Works
The activity editor is displayed when creating new activities or editing existing ones. The Activity Preview screen in the activity task view has been updated to display a single link to edit the activity. To edit an existing activity, click Edit in the Activity Overview section.
The activity editor will open in full screen.
- Use the navigation panel on the left side of the editor to configure overall activity options from the Activity Details tab.
- Select an activity task in the navigation panel to view and edit the settings associated with that task.
- Add, remove, and reorder tasks directly from the navigation panel.
This unified experience makes it easier to build, review, and maintain activities while providing greater visibility into the learner journey.
