SSO Certificate Update (SAML Metadata Refresh Recommended)
As part of this release, we are rotating SAML certificates and updating our metadata to maintain a secure and reliable authentication experience. No service disruption is expected, and existing certificates will remain valid through May 4th to allow for a smooth transition.
Customers are advised to refresh or re-import Echo360 SAML metadata in their Identity Provider (IdP) after the release. Environments using manual certificate configuration should contact Support to obtain the updated metadata.
EchoExam Offline Application
EchoExam Offline is now available through our Early Access Program (EAP). It enables reliable testing in limited‑connectivity or proctored environments with offline delivery and synchronized results when back online. If your institution is interested in participating or learning more, please email product@echo360.com to request access.
Improvements
Accessibility compliance improvements
We are committed to making EchoExam accessible for everyone. To support our ongoing efforts and ensure a better experience for users with visual, cognitive, and motor disabilities, we have rolled out key accessibility improvements in this release. This update addresses several issues identified in recent audits and focuses on enhancing usability for all users. Please see below for a list of the improvements we are making
Improved Responsive Layouts & Text Resizing
We have made significant updates to ensure EchoExam works better at high zoom levels and on small screens, so content is never cut off or lost:
- Ensured pages and controls reflow properly at smaller viewport widths, allowing users with low vision to access all content without horizontal scrolling or missing controls.
- Fixed issues where buttons, labels, and navigation elements disappeared or overlapped at small screen sizes.
Better Labels, Instructions, and Input Purpose
We have improved how EchoExam communicates the purpose of fields and controls, both visually and programmatically:
- Enhanced clarity of labels and instructions for various form fields and controls to provide better guidance for all users.
Enhanced Screen Reader and Keyboard Support
We have made it easier for users relying on assistive technology to navigate and interact with EchoExam:
- Improved keyboard navigation and focus management across key test and results pages to support better accessibility.
- Addressed various screen reader compatibility issues to ensure accurate and complete information is conveyed.
