An organization must enter into a business relationship with EchoInk to access its functionality. To develop against the API, you must be an EchoInk customer or partner. Contact your EchoInk representative or support@echo360.com if you have questions or issues regarding access.
The EchoInk xAPI is based on the xAPI specification for sharing learning data. Many LMS and LRS support xAPI to receive real-time information on learners’ assessment results.
Implementing the EchoInk xAPI enables sending real-time data from EchoInk directly to an xAPI-compliant LMS or LRS. The EchoInk xAPI supports four statement types that report on EchoInk assessment results, page views, Inkdoc starts, and Inkdoc completions. You can capture your users’ activity as they review the content and take an assessment. This enables you to track learners who are currently in training, advance or "ungate" learner content in the LMS based on progress, and record training completion and compliance.
Data capture begins only when your EchoInk xAPI implementation is complete and fully active. Your EchoInk representative will confirm the active date of your organization’s xAPI data flow.
