Use the EchoInk Module Management interface to maintain your company’s library of EchoInk modules. The interface enables you to install and remove copies of modules in Habitat projects associated with your organization.
Typically, only a few users in an organization will need to use the Module Management interface. Access is limited to those with specific permissions.
This article describes these two windows of the interface:
- Module dashboard
- Module detail
For information about creating modules, see Create a Module and module.json file.
Become an Inkling Module Administrator
You must have module management permissions to administer modules and use the EchoInk Module Management Interface.
An EchoInk User Administrator grants these permissions to a user on the user's account profile. For more information, contact your company’s EchoInk administrator and see Manage user permissions.
Access the Module Management Interface
You can access the Module Management interface by clicking the Modules link at the top of the main Habitat menu.
For administrative permissions to your organization’s Module Management interface, contact your organization’s module administrator or Inkling representative.
The module dashboard provides the following information:
- Total number of active modules and projects for your organization.
- Module name and latest version.
- Whether the module contains patterns, widgets, or both.
The module dashboard also displays the standard platform widgets that Inkling provides for each Habitat project.
Access a Module Detail Window
Click a module name on the module dashboard to access its module detail window. This view shows version and release note information for each module that has been uploaded to your organization’s module library.
Click Install or Uninstall to add or remove a module version from the available Habitat projects.
