An EchoInk module is a collection of patterns or widgets that is self-contained and independently versioned. EchoInk modules enable you to build and maintain individual collections of widgets and patterns and distribute them for use in Inkdocs by your organization’s EchoInk Habitat authors.
Prerequisites
Before you can use modules in your organization’s EchoInk implementation:
- Your EchoInk representative must create an EchoInk organization for your company and provide you with an organization code.
- You must specify an EchoInk Module Administrator. Your EchoInk representative will grant the administrator permission to add and remove modules from Habitat projects associated with your EchoInk organization using the Module Management Interface.
Contact your EchoInk representative for help with these requirements.
Information in this unit is intended for developers, content designers, and module administrators creating or managing modules for use in EchoInk Habitat projects.
- Content designers and developers should have ample experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, and XHTML) and familiarity with Habitat projects.
- Module administrators must have the EchoInk organization identifier (the organization code) for their company and be able to access the EchoInk Module Management Interface.
Developer Rules
Your use of Inkling modules is subject to the Inkling Developer Rules. See https://www.inkling.com/terms/developer-rules-february-2016/
