You can grant access to all your EchoInk library users or only specific EchoInk library users using Habitat’s Audience functionality.
Audiences control the content a given EchoInk user can view based on information your EchoInk User Administrator submits to EchoInk in a user data file.
For more information about importing a user data file, see Add Users with CSV File Import .
In this user data file, your organization provides information about your end users, including name, job title, location, and role. You use this data to define end users who share attributes and create an Audience for this group. You can distribute multiple titles to a single Audience, or a single title to a custom set of users.
As the Audience membership changes, Habitat automatically provides the content to new users and revokes it from former members of the group. You can also add specific users by name, in which case their access to the content will be revoked only when you remove them from the rule.
Accessing the Audiences Dashboard
To access the Audiences Dashboard, you must have EchoInk User Administrator permissions. Note that you do not need to be a project member of an Inkdoc to review the Audience for that Inkdoc.
From the Habitat dashboard, select the People tab.
Once on the People tab, click Audiences.
- From this view, you can see all existing Audiences in your organization.
The EchoInk Audiences functionality is available only to customers who have licensed the EchoInk library for Web and Mobile. Contact your organization’s EchoInk representative with any questions on the distribution channels available to you.
