Features

scoringUserID added for LTI 1.3

Overview

GoReact now supports the scoringUserID parameter for LTI 1.3 integrations. This parameter will now be returned to the LMS whenever an instructor or reviewer grades and posts a rubric for a video.

The scoringUserID parameter allows the LMS to distinguish between a student-submitted rubric and a non-student rubric. Some organizations base student attendance on assignment submissions, self-reflection rubrics, or other student-driven events.  

Note that:

  • A value is not returned through the scoringUserID parameter when a guest reviewer completes a rubric because there is no LMS userID associated with the guest reviewer.
  • The scoringUserID parameter is not available for LTI 1.1 integrations.

Improvements

  • The submitted status of a video will now be reported to Blackboard users using LTI 1.3. This was already working for other LMS systems, but has now been enhanced to support Blackboard as well. The submitted status will be visible in the grade book.
  • Added the ability to hide AI Free Trial announcements for instructors.
  • Improved the message that is displayed on the transcript tab when the session is using a YouTube video and cannot produce a transcript
  • Increased the maximum length of Recording instructions and Feedback instructions from 6,000 characters to 20,000 characters.

Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where text entry for adding a comment was switching to right-to-left input when certain characters from non-English alphabets were entered.
  • Fixed a problem where audio description files were not getting uploaded correctly to the session.
  • An issue that caused the source video in Stimulus activities to freeze or skip during playback has been fixed. This issue occurred only when the recording was restarted.
  • A minor UI fix was made to the breadcrumb text for a session by adding an ellipsis when the session name is truncated.
  • The Save and Close button in the new Activity Task view will now remain enabled regardless of whether or not changes have been made.
  • A pop-over message for the Attachments icon in the playback view has been fixed to align properly with the attachments icon.
  • Fixed a layout issue in the Rate This Tool dialog.
  • Fixed a layout issue with the left navigation bar when it is collapsed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Comment Composer icon was not displaying correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the Add to Library option was not consistently displayed for instructor video comments
  • Fixed an issue where the ESC key was causing the left navigation bar to be hidden in both the main dashboard view and in the library.
  • Folder invitation and join links created in one GoReact region will now direct users to the login page for that region.
