This article describes the system requirements for authoring content and reading distributed content on desktops and mobile devices.
Authoring Requirements
Your Habitat authors must use Google Chrome on a desktop running an up-to-date version of macOS or Windows to create content. Authors can run Habitat on the latest version of Chrome and the previous two versions. For information on Chrome release versions, see http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/.
Reading Requirements
For the best interactive reading experience, we strongly recommend that your organization use the latest version of a supported browser. Viewing EchoInk content on legacy versions will result in a degraded experience. The use of legacy browsers is done at the organization’s own risk.
If you use a Microsoft browser, you must use Edge. We do not support any version of Internet Explorer (IE).
To use EchoInk Library for Web on desktops running an up-to-date Mac or Windows OS, we fully support the latest versions of these browsers:
To use EchoInk Library for Mobile, we fully support the following:
- iOS devices: Safari running iOS 10.0 and higher
- Android devices: stock browser and Chrome, running 4.4 (KitKat) and higher
