Habitat can export to various specialist outputs like:

• EPUB
• iBook
• Kindle

If your project administrator implements a specialist export format, you use the Export functionality to create and download these files.

Export to a Specialist Format

1. Go to Export and Distribute > Export and Embed.
2. Click Export.
3. Review the export build status.
   • A green build success icon displays next to the format name when that export format is ready to download to your desktop.
   • A red build failure icon displays with an error report link when Habitat cannot build the format. Click the link to fix the build issues, then click Export again
4. Click Download.
   • By default, Habitat places the exported file in your machine’s Downloads directory.
   • The file title is in the format:
     • {alphanumeric string}_r{number}_{export format}.{file extension} 
     • Example: 0a72722326b8c634dddbc4546a9138506eb_r163_kindle.epub
