Use to test users’ ability to correctly identify parts of an image by dragging labels onto the image.
- Select Drag and Drop from either the Change Question Type or Add Question dropdown menu.
- Enter the question in the Edit question text field.
Set the Allow Reader to View Hint toggle to On or Off.
If you enable hints, the assessment displays the shaded drop areas on the image to the user when they click for a hint.
- Optionally, provide an explanation of the correct answer that displays on the score results page.
- Add an image.
Create a drag item for each answer to the question.
You can add up to 5 items.
- Draw drop areas on the image for drag items.
- Draw Rectangle Drop Target: Click and drag to draw a rectangular area.
- Draw Polygon Drop Target: Enables you to draw freeform drop shapes by connecting line segments.
- Click to make a point.
- Drag your cursor to the next point and click. A line appears between the two points.
- Continue creating line segments to create the needed freeform shape. When you connect the final point to the initial point, the drop area appears as shaded in blue.
Associate a drag item with a drop target.
A context menu appears when you finish creating a target. Choose to either:
- Associate an existing item with the active target
- Create a new item.
- Use No Association to create an empty area.
- Delete the area.
You can associate one item to one area or multiple areas. Click the icon in the middle of an area to edit it.
- Click Save and continue creating the assessment.
