This article describes how to add and edit links to pages within Habitat and links to external URLs.
Link to Another Page
You can link to any page you have already created in your Habitat project.
- In Edit mode, select the text that you want to turn into a link.

Select Insert Link from the inline toolbar.
Link Page is the default option.
- Click in the Page: field and select the page you would like to link to from the dropdown, or type the page name to search for it.
- Click Add.
Link to a Heading on a Page
You can link to an h2 on a page by using the Code View.
- Find the heading you want to link to.
- Open the Code View and copy the UUID of the
h2. - Select the text that you want to turn into a link.
- Select Insert Link from the link menu in the toolbar.
- Select Link URL in the dropdown menu.
- Paste the UUID into the URL: field.
- Click Add.
Link to an External Web Page
You can link to an external web page; for example, https://echo360.com/.
- In Edit mode, select the text that you want to turn into a link.
- Select Insert Link from the link menu in the toolbar.
- Change from Link Page to Link URL in the dropdown menu.
- Paste or enter the URL in the URL: field.
- Click Add.
Edit the Link Destination
You can change the destination page or URL for a link.
- Click the linked text.
- Click Edit on the context menu that appears.
- Change the page link or URL.
- Click Update.
Unlink Text
You can remove a link from text.
- Click the linked text.
- Click Unlink on the context menu that appears.
