This article describes how to display and hide sidebars available in Edit Content.

Preview

You edit and preview your work with the center pane. You can drag the Code View sidebar to cover this pane.
To change the simulated device size, use the Device Preview dropdown menu.

Add Pattern

To hide the Add Pattern sidebar, click the X  icon in the upper-right corner of the sidebar. To display it again, hover over the right margin of Habitat.

To keep the sidebar open, click Add Pattern.

Table of Contents

To hide the Table of Contents sidebar, click the X icon in the upper-right corner of the sidebar. To display it again, hover over the left margin of Habitat.

To keep the sidebar open, click the Table of Contents icon.

To switch the view of text between titles and file names of pages, click Title or File at the top of the sidebar.

Code View

To see or work in the page’s HTML code, open Code View by clicking the < > icon located to the left of Add Pattern.

To close code view, click the X icon in the upper-right corner of code view.

To change the sidebar width, drag its left border.

Having a hard time finding the code you need to edit in Code View? Do this: In Edit mode, click the content you want to edit. A cursor jumps to the corresponding location in the code in Code View.
