This section describes issues with logging into Habitat and viewing projects on the dashboard.

| Received a Welcome to Habitat email with a link granting you access to a project, but you never signed in and the link has now expired. |
The Habitat project link in the email is valid only for 72 hours. However, if your Inkling User Administrator gave you the organization’s temporary password, click the link and log in using this temporary password. If the user administrator did not provide the temporary password or if you continue having login issues, contact the user administrator or Inkling Support to activate the account. |

This scenario usually indicates that the one or more HTML files have invalid code that is preventing Habitat from properly loading. Click the red X for more information about the specific error. Chrome extensions and anti-virus software may insert invalid code in the HTML files. You must:

| A page takes a long time to load, exhibits erratic behavior, or both. |
Content-heavy pages may have performance issues. When creating pages, consider the amount of text and the number of media files that you include. To improve the performance of very large pages, we recommend moving some of the content into other pages. Our Client Services team can help structure your content for optimal performance. Contact your Inkling representative for more information. |

| You are a team member on a project. When searching for it by shortname on the dashboard, Search does not return the project. |
Check that you have correctly entered the shortname. If the issue persists, you may need to clear your browser cache; see the General Habitat restart procedure. |
