Universal Capture Updates
- Security Update: OpenSSL 3.5
- Universal Capture and all device platforms have been upgraded to OpenSSL 3.5.4, ensuring continued security and compliance as OpenSSL 3.0 approaches end-of-life.
The latest Universal Capture version is now 6.0.871908088.
Improvements
Accessibility Improvements
- Account Settings Page Responsive Design
- The Account Settings page is now fully accessible at 400% zoom, with no horizontal scrolling or broken alignment, meeting WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Skip to Main Content Button Consistency
- The Skip to Main Content accessibility button is now consistently visible across all navigation bars. Keyboard users can quickly skip headers on any page.
- Responsive Media Picker Modal for LMS
- The Media Picker modal in the LMS is now fully responsive and includes a new footer with a functional Cancel button, ensuring usability across all devices and screen sizes.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where embedding multiple EchoVideos in a single Moodle page using the TinyMCE plugin could cause links to not work correctly.
- The AskEcho and AskEcho Generated Content tabs on the Media Details Page now correctly appear or hide based on the Chaptering & Metadata Generation and AskEcho toggles, ensuring users only see relevant options.
- Addressed a bug where some students’ grades were not appearing in the Canvas LMS gradebook, even though analytics data was present in EchoVideo.
- The AskEcho option in the Library’s 3-dot menu for Interactive Media now appears only when the correct feature toggles are enabled, preventing confusion and ensuring consistent navigation.
- Resolved an issue where the volume slider in the media player was not properly aligned with the mute / unmute icon.
- Fixed an issue where the Poll Responses text could overlap with the close icon in the Student Responses modal on the Polling tab, ensuring all modal content is clearly visible and accessible.
