Accessing your Inkdocs is easy on desktop or mobile. Open an Inkdoc in your browser for full navigation, or download it in the mobile app to read offline. This guide covers how to view, download, and watch embedded videos so you can learn anytime, anywhere.
View an Inkdoc on a Desktop
Click an Inkdoc to open it in your browser. The navigation pane appears on the left and contains the Content, Notebook, and Glossary icons, along with the Search bar. Click the My Library icon at the top left to return to your Inkling Library. Click the X at the upper right to hide the navigation pane.
Download Content for Mobile Apps
In the Inkling mobile apps, you must first download an Inkdoc to read it.
The image shows Inkdocs in a library. A cloud icon indicates that you have not downloaded the Inkdoc.
Tap the thumbnail to open Inkdoc, then select the download option. Once the download is complete, you can read all of the content, even if you are offline.
Currently, the Table of Contents (TOC) display in the Android Inkling app differs from the web and iOS app experiences. The Android Inkling TOC does not display nested pages. This means that a page might link to other pages that do not appear in the TOC.
You can also set a view option to display only downloaded Inkdocs. See Filter Inkdocs by download status in Set view and language options.
Watch Videos Online or Offline
Inkdocs can include two types of video content. You must be online to view videos hosted on sites like YouTube and Vimeo.
Inkling mobile apps also support embedded videos. You can view these videos online or download them to your mobile device and watch them offline.
Large video files can impact your device’s performance. For Inkdocs with embedded video content that you can view offline, we recommend downloading and viewing one chapter at a time.
