You can easily change your current Inkling password and reset a forgotten password.
If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), you won’t see the interfaces shown below. Instead, you’ll use a different interface to manage your Inkling passwords. Contact your administrator for help and more information.
Change Password
- Click Change password on the profile menu.
- Enter your current password to confirm your identity.
- Set your new password.
A confirmation message displays when you successfully change the password.
Reset Password
- Click Forgot password? on the Inkling library login screen.
Enter your username.
If you cannot remember your username, contact your administrator.
- Inkling presents one of the following two options:
- If you have a valid email address associated with your Inkling user account, Inkling sends you an email containing a password reset button and a link that is active for 1 hour. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.
- If your Inkling user account does not have a valid email address, Inkling displays a page with your security questions. If all your answers match, you can reset your password. If you do not remember the answers to your security questions, contact your Inkling administrator.
A confirmation message appears when you successfully reset your password.
Reset Security Questions
If your Inkling account does not have an email address and you use security questions to reset your password, you can reset your security questions at any time while logged in to Inkling.
- Click Reset security questions on the profile menu.
- Enter your current password to confirm your identity.
- Select a security question and enter your answer. You will be asked to select and answer three questions.
These questions will be used to verify your identity before allowing sensitive account changes. For example, if you forget your password and need to recover it.
