The February 2026 GoReact update introduces Activity Tasks, a guided, task-based experience that helps students understand what they need to do and makes it easier for instructors to see their progress. This update does not automatically change any activities you have already created.
Activity Tasks are optional for now and can be turned on for individual activities using the New Activity View toggle. This setting applies only to the selected activity and does not affect others. If you choose not to turn on the New Activity View toggle, your activities will continue to use the same workflow and student experience you are already familiar with.
If you choose to turn on the New Activity View toggle
- Students complete the activity by working through a clear checklist of steps, such as recording a video, submitting their work, and providing peer feedback when required.
- Video drafts are created during the recording step and remain private until the student submits them.
- An activity is considered complete once all required steps are finished, making it easier to see where students are in the process.
- New reports are available to help you track student participation and overall completion.
Later in 2026, the new activity view will become the default way students complete GoReact activities. At that point, switching back to the previous activity view will no longer be available.
To toggle on the New Activity View
- You must be logged in to GoReact and have created an activity.
- Click the activity.
-
Toggle on New Activity View, as shown in the image below. It is off by default.
The activity is switched to the new view and is ready for learners.
