Improvements
AI Assistant Markers Formatting
Improvements have been made to how markers are organized in the AI Assistant configuration dialog. These changes will make it easier for:
- Curriculum designers, instructors, mentors and coaches to find and utilize AI Assistant markers on the activities they create.
Note: These changes will not impact the functionality or content of the existing AI Assistant markers that are available in the AI Assistant Configuration screen – only how they are displayed and organized.
Instead of an empty circle with a colored border and a two-letter abbreviation, the AI Assistant markers will now include a rounded-rectangular marker that is filled in with one of three colors, and that contains the full name of the marker. The marker colors and a special icon are how we categorize the markers and communicate if the marker has been designed to:
- Identify Strengths (green with star icon)
- Identify Areas of Improvement (yellow with flag icon)
- Identify General Feedback (purple-grey with callout box icon)
We will no longer append Praise or Improve to the names of the markers, since the color and icon are indicating which type of marker it is.
Anywhere that AI Assistant markers are displayed in GoReact the new marker format will be used. This includes the marker preview in the Activity Settings panel, the default markers selected in Account Settings, and the drop down for marker filters in the playback view for each video.
AI Assistant Configuration Layout
Improvements have been made to the format of the AI Assistant markers so that learners, instructors, mentors and coaches can:
- Quickly identify the different types of feedback.
- Focus on one set of markers, such as suggestions for improvement.
Note: These changes will not impact the functionality or content of the existing AI Assistant markers that are available in the AI Assistant Configuration screen – only how they are displayed and organized.
Adding AI Assistant markers to activities is easier to accomplish with the markers being divided into the three basic categories for each discipline: Strengths, Areas for Improvement and General Feedback.
Setting the primary language of the video and choosing the discipline have not changed. The process of selecting the markers and adding them to an activity is also unchanged.
Additional Improvements
- The Help button in GoReact is now linked to the Echo360 support pages
- Added a button to return the user to the actively playing point in the transcript
- Video reviewer and session participant email addresses are now hidden from users with Reviewer and Participant roles, unless the session owner invites the video reviewer directly via an email invitation.
Fixes
- Resolved an issue where media play duration was not being captured accurately if the video was trimmed.
- Resolved an issue where Firefox users were not seeing AI Assistant marker details in the activity defaults in the user account settings.
