Your Account Settings page in EchoVideo is your central hub for managing personal preferences, playback settings, notifications, and integrations. Whether you're an instructor, administrator, or direct login user, this page offers tools to customize your experience across the platform.
User Info
Update your personal details, including name, profile picture, password, time zone, preferred language, and phone number. Some fields, like your email address, may be locked depending on your institution’s settings.
Alert Preferences
Admins can configure email alerts for critical system events, including:
- Capture device offline or missing
- Missing audio input
- Missed captures
These alerts are personalized and sent to your account email, even if institutional email notifications are disabled.
Notifications
Instructors and Administrators can enable in-app notifications to stay informed about key activity. Customize alerts based on:
- Who triggers them (e.g., system, other users, yourself)
- What triggers them (e.g., media processing, engagement, transcript availability)
Notifications appear in the toolbar and supplement any email alerts your institution provides.
Player Preferences
Turn on the Player Settings toggle to save your playback preferences, including speed, captions, layout, and source selection. Once enabled, these settings apply to all videos, providing a consistent and personalized viewing experience.
WebEx Settings
If turned on, instructors can manage WebEx-related preferences, including:
- Opting in / out of ingesting WebEx cloud recordings
- Mapping scheduled WebEx meetings to EchoVideo course sections
These settings streamline WebEx-to-EchoVideo workflows, ensuring recordings are properly stored and shared.
Zoom Settings
If turned on, instructors can manage Zoom-related preferences, including:
- Opting in/out of automatic Zoom cloud recording uploads
- Adding an alternate Zoom email address
- Mapping scheduled Zoom meetings to EchoVideo course sections
These settings streamline Zoom-to-EchoVideo workflows, ensuring recordings are properly stored and shared.
