Features
Media Details Page: LMS Filter in Media Details Page Analytics
We have added a new LMS Course filter to the Media Details Page Analytics in EchoVideo. This enhancement allows instructors and administrators to easily narrow analytics results to a specific LMS course where the media item is used. With this filter, you can quickly view engagement and performance data in the context of a single course, making it easier to understand how students in that course are interacting with your media.
Global Toggle for Lock Overlays Feature
We have introduced a new global toggle for the Lock Overlay feature in the EchoVideo player. This setting allows institutional administrators to easily define the default behaviour of the Lock Overlay at the player level across their institution.
Importantly, this global toggle only sets the default state—individual users can still adjust the Lock Overlay setting for their own media if they choose. This provides institutions with greater control over consistency in the playback experience, while preserving flexibility for creators and instructors.
Custom Libraries for Transcriptions
We have introduced custom libraries to our transcription service. This feature allows users to request specific words, terms, or phrases be added to a regional custom library, ensuring more accurate transcription results. By tailoring the transcription engine to better recognize domain-specific vocabulary, names, or local terminology, institutions can improve accuracy and consistency across their recordings.
Improvements
Accessibility Compliance Update
We have made significant progress in strengthening our accessibility compliance and are actively working toward full alignment with ADA Title II standards. Our goal is to ensure full compliance well in advance, giving all customers ample time to review and verify the accessibility standards that meet their own requirements.
Additional Improvements
We have updated the tool used for in-app guidance and tooltips to improve user experience.
