Remote Poll for EchoPoll uses our hassle-free USB Standard Receiver to capture in-person responses from a clicker device in addition to mobile responses. The radio frequency technology allows for a 200-foot range and does not require a line of sight with response devices. Each receiver can process responses from up to 1,000 clickers. Remote Poll is compatible with RRRF-03 and RRRF-04 USB receivers.
- Download Remote Poll for Mac or PC.
- Open Remote Poll.
- Connect the receiver(s) and set the appropriate channel.
- Create and launch a session from EchoPoll.
- Optionally, add an intro slide that includes the channel number for the receiver so learners can set their clicker to that channel.
- Enter the Session ID into Remote Poll and click Connect.
- Run the session from EchoPoll.
- Clickers within range and set to the appropriate channel will be counted as responses in the session.
QT2
The QT2 clicker device takes the response experience to a new level of performance. Providing the same features as other RF clickers, the QT2 expands the functionality by offering capabilities such as a full QWERTY keypad and a backlit screen for easy viewing. The QT2 provides the richest and most fulfilling response experience ever.
QT2 clickers ship with a plastic tab in the battery compartment to preserve battery life. Before using your clicker, remove the battery cover and remove the tab.
Press any button to wake up your clicker. It will shut off automatically after several minutes.
Changing the Channel
Your instructor will provide you with the channel number they are using in class. Use the steps below to check your clicker’s channel and change to the correct channel.
If the lock symbol appears next to the channel number, the channel cannot be changed.
- Press the CH button.
- Use the number pad to enter the new channel number.
- Once the channel number has been entered, press OK.
Finding Channels
If you don’t know the channel number you need to connect to, you can scan to find receivers in range. Use the steps below to find a receiver within range of your clicker.
- Press the CH button.

Press the middle ^ key, indicated on the screen by the signal icon to scan for the receiver(s) within range.
The QT2 will display a loading screen while it scans for any receivers within range.

Use the arrow keys to scroll through available channels.
The QT2 will display “Can’t Find Channels” if no active receivers are in range.
- Press OK to select the channel.
Responding
During a polling session, your QT2 clicker will prompt you to enter the proper response. An indicator appears in the top left of the clicker screen for each question type. When you respond to a live polling question with your clicker, the LCD screen will display the answer you’ve chosen. After typing your answer, be sure to click OK on the clicker to submit your response to the question.

Logging Into a Session
You can use your QT2 clicker to submit your responses to a session that your instructor has provided through Remote Poll. Once your instructor connects to Remote Poll, follow the steps below to submit your answers using your QT2 clicker.

Press any button on the QWERTY keypad to open the session workflow.
You will see a Welcome message, followed by a battery check, and the loading screen while the session loads.
- You may be prompted for your ID.
- Press the Backspace key to clear the information displayed.
- Enter your ID.
- Press OK.
You are now in the Session and you can use your QT2 clicker to navigate through the questions and submit your answers.
Responding During a Session
Enter a response for each question in the session. Use the left and right arrow keys to move forward or backward through the questions.
Respond to each question in the session based on the question type. When your answer has been submitted for a question, the question number will be displayed at the top of the LCD screen.
- Single Response - Press the function key below your answer choice. Up to five answer choices will be visible on the QT2. Press the up / down arrows to view more choices. Answer choices can be alpha or numeric.
- Multiple Response - Use the number pad to enter your answer choices and then press OK once you have made your selection. Answer choices can be alpha or numeric.
- Short Answer / Word Cloud - Use the keyboard to enter the answer text and press OK. The available number of remaining characters is indicated in the upper right of the screen.
- Numeric Response - Enter the response using the number pad and press OK.
- True / False - Press the function key below your answer.
Go To a Specific Question
- Press the Toolbox button.
- Use the left and right arrow keys to highlight the Go to Question icon and press OK.
- Use the number pad to enter the question number.
- Press OK to go to the question.
Sending a Session
Once you have answered all of the session questions, you must submit your attempt. Use the steps below to submit your completed session.
When answering the last question of the session , you will receive a message that the session is complete or incomplete. If you receive this message, skip to step 3.
- Press the Toolbox button.

Use the left and right arrow keys to highlight the Exit Test icon and press OK.
A message is displayed that the session is complete or incomplete. Press the function key below the Go Back Arrow twice to return to the session to complete any unanswered questions and review your answers.
- Press the function key below Send Test to send the session .
- A message is displayed to confirm that you would like to send the session .

Press the function key below OK.
The session is saved and sent to the host computer.

ResponseCard RF LCD
The ResponseCard RF LCD clicker is designed so that you receive visual confirmation of input. The LCD screen displays the response selected, channel setting, and battery life.
The ResponseCard is the size of a credit card and provides the features and functionality required to ensure selections are accurate, timely, and effortlessly transmitted to the presenter’s receiver. Its lightweight, rugged, and durable enclosure allows it to be easily transported from room to room or around the globe for optimum portability. The ResponseCard RF LCD is fully compatible with PointSolutions software.

Changing the Channel

Press the Channel / CH button.
The light will flash and the current channel number will display on the LCD screen.

Enter the two-digit channel number.
If the channel is a single-digit number, you must put a 0 in front of the number (e.g., 07 or 52).

Press the Channel / CH button.
A green flash indicates the channel was successfully changed.
Responding
When you respond to a question with your clicker, the light will flash with a different color to indicate whether the response was received.
- A green flash indicates that the response was received.
- Two red flashes indicate the answer choice is invalid.
- A single yellow flash indicates that polling is closed.
- Multiple yellow flashes indicate that the response is sending.
- Multiple yellow flashes followed by a red flash indicate that the response was not received.
Modifying the Device ID Manually
If you have purchased your clicker secondhand, you may need to reprogram the Device ID. You have a maximum of 5 seconds to complete each step before the programming process will time out and you must restart from Step 1.

Press the Channel / CH button.
The LED will flash green and red.

Press the ? button.
The LED will flash green and red at a slower rate.

Enter the new six-digit Device ID using keys
0 to 9 (valid Device IDs are 000001 to
999999).
Each time a button is pressed, the LED will flash yellow. Confirmation of the numbers entered will appear on the bottom of the LCD.

After editing the new Device ID number, press the ? button.
The LED will turn yellow.

Press the Channel / CH button.
The LED will turn green to indicate Device ID has been set successfully.
Reverting the Device to the Factory Default
If you are having issues with your clicker, reverting it to factory default may solve the issue. You have a maximum of 5 seconds to complete each step before the programming process will time out and you must restart from Step 1.

The LED will flash green and red.

Press the ? button.
The LED will flash green and red at a slower rate.

Press the 0 (zero) button six times to enter a Device ID
of 000000.
Each time a button is pressed, the LED will flash yellow. Confirmation of the numbers entered will appear on the bottom of the LCD.

After editing the new Device ID number, press the ? button.
The LED will turn yellow.

Press the Channel / CH button.
The LED will turn green to indicate the Device ID has been reset successfully.
