Obtaining the MAC address of a Universal Capture (UC) device is an essential step in setting up and managing EchoVideo. The MAC address serves as a unique identifier that helps support ensure smooth operation and integration. This guide will walk you through how to locate the MAC address for your UC device.
Check the device.xml file
- Open File Explorer.
- Navigate to
C:\ProgramData\Echo360\UniversalCapture\data\config
- Open device.xml.
The file opens.
- The first line of the file will have the MAC address listed as a key, as shown in the figure below.
- Copy the MAC address and share it with support.
Run ipconfig /all
- Open Command Prompt.
On your keyboard, press Win + R, type cmd, and press Enter.
- Run
ipconfig /all
. - Scroll down to find Ethernet adapter Ethernet.

The MAC address is listed by Physical Address, as shown in the figure below.
