EchoVideo: Using AskEcho Tools

Automatically generate structured, searchable, and engaging enhancements for your content with AskEcho. AskEcho can create chapters, titles, descriptions, and tags to improve navigation, discoverability, and accessibility across EchoVideo.

In addition, AskEcho can generate Summaries, FAQs, Study Cards, and Quizzes.

These features are currently available only when media is accessed from within a Folder.

Beginning December 18, 2025, institutions will no longer be able to enable Folders within EchoVideo. This change prevents the adoption of the current Folders implementation as we prepare for the upgraded Folders and Courses experience, which will be released in 2026.

Existing Folders will not be removed and will continue to function normally. Institutions already using Folders will be supported through a guided transition once the enhanced structure becomes available.

1. Click on the media tile from the Library to open the Media Details page.
   The General tab under Details is selected by default.
2. Choose AskEcho, as identified in the figure below.
3. Choose which tool(s) to turn on.
   • AskEcho Generated Content
     • Chapters - When turned on, AskEcho-powered chaptering breaks your lecture into structured, easy-to-navigate sections.
   • AskEcho Generated Metadata
     • Titles - Turn on to use AskEcho to generate clear, engaging titles that reflect your content accurately.
     • Descriptions - When turned on, leverage AskEcho to generate content summaries for better discoverability.
     • Tag - Turn on to let AskEcho analyze your content and create smart tag suggestions, helping improve searchability and content organization.
     • Summaries - When turned on, AskEcho generates a text summary that provides a synopsis and highlights key takeaways from your content.
     • FAQs - Turn on to let AskEcho generate Frequently Asked Questions based on your content.
     • Study Cards - When turned on, AskEcho generates Study Cards based on your content. This allows viewers to verify their understanding of the key principles, terminology, or theories presented in your content.
     • Quizzes - Turn on to let AskEcho generate quizzes from your media content. This enhances user engagement with personalized quiz experiences based on your content.
4. Click Generate All.
   AskEcho generates your content.

When finished, your media will be updated depending on the toggles you turned on.
