To configure the integration, you must work with Echo360's support team. Email support@echo360.com to let us know you want to configure the LMS integration. Provide the LMS type and URL.

Registering the EchoPoll Application

1. Log into Brightspace with an administrator account.
2. Click the Settings button in the upper right corner.
3. Under the Organization Related section, click Manage Extensibility.
4. Click Register an App.
5. Under Application Name, enter EchoPoll Registration.
6. Input the Trusted URL for your region.

   • North / South America:

     https://oauth.turningtechnologies.com/oauth-integration-server/authenticate

   • Europe / Africa / Middle East:

     https://oauth.turningtechnologies.eu/oauth-integration-server/authenticate

   • Asia / Pacific:

     https://oauth.echopoll.au/oauth-integration-server/authenticate

     Nothing is required under the description.

7. Ensure that Enable this application is selected.
8. Select I accept the Non-Commercial Developer Agreement.
9. Click Register Application.
10. Communicate the Application ID and Application Key to your Echo360 support agent.

Setting up the External Learning Tool

1. Log into Brightspace with an administrator account.
2. Click the Settings button in the upper right corner.
3. Under the Organization Related section, click External Learning Tools.
4. Go to the Manage Tool Links (Legacy) tab then select Settings from the upper right-hand corner.
5. Scroll down to and locate the Security Settings section and ensure the following are selected:
   • Allow sending user name to tool provider
   • Allow sending user email to tool provider
   • Allow sending system username to tool provider
   • Allow sending system role to tool provider
6. Click Save and Close.
7. Ensure you are on the Manage Tool Links (Legacy) tab and click New Link.
8. Enter EchoPoll Registration in the Title field.
9. Enter the URL provided by Echo360. 
10. Ensure that Allow users to view this link is selected.

11. Ensure that Sign messages with key / secret is enabled and select Link key / secret.

    Selecting Link Key / Secret will deselect Tool consumer key / secret and allow you to enter the key and secret provided by Echo360 into the Key and Secret fields

12. Enter the Key provided by Echo360.

13. Enter the Secret provided by Echo360.

    Requests for Keys and Secrets should be sent to support@echo360.com.

14. Leave the Custom Parameters blank.
15. Click Use link security settings under the security setting section.
16. For Make link available to:, ensure Current Org Unit: <Org Unit Name> is selected.
17. Click Add Org Units.
18. Search for your Org Unit and select your Org Unit. Select the All descendants option.
19. Click Insert.
20. Click Save and Close.

Adding the LTI to a Course

1. Log in to Brightspace with an administrator or instructor account and navigate to the desired course.
2. Navigate to the content area of the course.
3. Select Add a module under the Table of Contents and name it EchoPoll.
4. Select the Add Existing Activities drop-down and then select External Learning Tools.
5. Search for and select the EchoPoll Registration option.
6. Select the drop-down next to the EchoPoll Registration link and then select Edit Properties In-place.
7. Select the check box for Open as External Resource.

Once your Brightspace Integration has been configured, instructors in your organization can link their individual EchoPoll accounts to their Brightspace accounts and connect their courses.
