These Release Notes contain a summary of changes made for the July 16-17, 2019 release of EchoVideo. For changes made in previous deployments, see the other Release Notes articles located in this Topic group, or contact support@echo360.com.
New Features
EchoVideo now integrates with Zoom online meetings! EchoVideo has launched its own app in the Zoom Marketplace that allows for seamless integration of EchoVideo with your institution’s Zoom account(s). The integration allows EchoVideo to automatically copy Zoom Cloud recordings into the content library of the user who launched the meeting.
For integration procedure and information, see Integrating with Zoom.
Please Note: The initial integration with Zoom is available for US-region institutions only. Other regions (AU, UK, CA) will be implemented as soon as possible
IP Cameras are now supported for use with Universal Capture: Classroom!
For more information on how to configure your IP Camera, see IP Camera Support.
Please Note: The initial support is only for scheduled captures. Ad hoc support is coming soon!
Enhancements
- The Pod appliance can now be configured to use a wireless network where the SSID is hidden. (This had been listed in the previous release notes but was removed from the release after final testing; this feature is being released with this deployment.)
-
Device Software Update: Version 5.5.663216981
The version number of the updated capture device software will be added prior to the AU/ANZ production region deployment.
Fixes
- User role toggles are now functioning properly for Admins changing a user’s role from the Users page.
- Instructors can again navigate between the Individual tab and the Classes tab on the Sharing modal when sharing media from their Content library.
