New Features
Performance by Metadata
Instructors can select metadata tags to surface on their exam reports. For each selected metadata tag, instructors will see the performance summary for all questions associated with the tag. Performance details include individual learner performance, average roster performance, and performance range. Metadata tags are flagged as On Track, Review, or At Risk based on instructor-configured thresholds.
Exam Passwords
Instructors can add an additional password when creating a new exam. Passwords are exam-specific and learners are prompted to enter the password when beginning their exam attempt. Learners who do not have the correct password will not be able to access and complete the exam, even if they are assigned to it.
Block Cut, Copy, and Paste
Instructors have an optional setting to prevent learners from using cut, copy, and paste functions during an exam. When this setting is turned on, learners will not be able to paste text from another source into their exam answers, and they will not be able to copy question or other exam text out to another location.
Browser Lock with Respondus
Browser lock from EchoExam is now powered by Respondus, a trusted partner for secure exam delivery. Instructors will have all of the secure exam features that they love, with additional options to allow specific URLs, or to allow specific applications to run in the background, like Microsoft Teams. Instructors can configure these settings for each exam, so learners will never have access to additional items unless the instructor has allowed it.
Instructor Annotations
All question types include a new option for Instructor Annotations, allowing instructors to add additional notes that learners will never have access to, regardless of exam settings. Instructors using publisher content redeemed in EchoExam will see annotations provided by the publisher in this area.
