EchoVideo 2024 Hotfix Deployment Notes 3-4 April

Fixes

These Release Notes contain a summary of changes made for the April 3-4, 2024 release of EchoVideo. For changes made in previous deployments, see the other Deployment Notes articles located in this Topic group, or contact support@echo360.com.

With this release, APAC, CA, and EMEA regions will be receiving all of the features, improvements, and fixes previously deployed to the US.

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue in Consolidated Analytics for courses with content exceeding average content parameters, where the Download Data button was not appearing due to API calls being restricted by Canvas LMS.
  • Resolved an issue where some video view data counts were not being returned correctly via the Reporting API.
  • Resolved an issue where LTI 1.1 external tool links to a Class / Lesson containing Interactive Media did not display the embedded polls.

Bug Fixes for the new EchoPlayer (Consolidated Version with New UI)

  • Resolved an issue where videos could sometimes fail to load in Safari, especially on iOS devices.
  • Resolved an issue where playback of content when using Safari could stutter, lag, buffer, etc.
  • Resolved an issue where the next section of an available transcript was not being revealed after passing a polling point in Interactive Media for students.
  • Resolved an issue where playing back long content (4+ hours) with the transcript panel open could stutter, lag, buffer, etc.

The following are US region-specific items.

  • Resolved an issue where public links to content on iOS devices were incorrectly waiting for authentication, causing infinite loading.
  • Resolved an issue in Firefox where the minimize button was cut off whhen viewing dual channel media, after maximizing one of the sources.
