These Release Notes contain a summary of changes made for the 28-29 Feb 2024 release of EchoVideo. For changes made in previous deployments, see the other Deployment Notes articles located in this Topic group, or contact support@echo360.com.

EMEA Region Update
With this release, the EMEA region will be receiving all of the features, improvements, and fixes previously deployed that are linked below along with all of the additional fixes listed on this page.

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue with Consolidated Analytics where the Download button did not always appear correctly on the Views overview page.
  • Resolved an issue with the legacy player that could potentially cause high CPU usage, leading playback to buffer.
  • Library content within the Easy Embed modal for your LMS is now correctly sorted to show the most recent content first.
  • When copying and then editing a presentation, poll slides are now appearing correctly and can be edited.

Fixes for the New Player

  • Transcript Editor:
    • Resolved an issue where pause when typing no longer worked.
    • Resolved an issue where the highlight feature that shows where you are in the transcript was not appearing.
    • Resolved an issue where clicking on a cue within the transcript did not jump you to that timestamp in the player.
  • The default player volume is now 100% like it is in the legacy player.
  • Polling:
    • The modal when entering justification for a poll response no longer has a header that says "Warning".
    • Poll responses that require justification now increment the count of submitted responses correctly for Instructors.
    • Resolved an issue where justifications for closed polls could not be viewed by Instructors.
    • Resolved an issue where the visualization of submitted poll responses was not appearing for Instructors.
    • Resolved an issue where the player control bar could block poll submission and control.
  • Resolved an issue where the last slide viewed within the Classroom was not remembered.
  • The area reserved for Closed Captions now hugs the caption text rather than always being a default width.
  • Resolved an issue where view Analytics were not appearing for Admins on the Media Details Page.
  • Embeds:
    • Embedding content that is still processing now shows the correct messaging.
    • Resolved an issue where the media title could not be highlighted and copied.
  • Resolved an issue where text within the transcript panel could not be copied.
