In a numeric answer question, learners can enter a number to answer the question. You can create new questions from within an existing or new Poll Deck.
Create a Numeric Answer Question
- In the Enter question text box, type in your question.
Use the Rich Text Editor to edit the question text or add an equation.
If the question requires scrolling, you will see a Back to Top arrow above the Save button.
- From the Options tab, you can
- Change the Slide Type of the question.
- Set the correct Answer.
- Turn on Range to award points for an answer within a range. Any answer within the range, including the two endpoints, will be accepted as correct.
- Optionally, turn on additional Question Settings.
- Anonymize Responses - Ignores the scoring settings of the question and treats all responses as unscored and anonymous.
- First Response Only - Accepts only the first response the learner answers.
- Optionally, turn on Timed Response from Timer Settings.
- Enter a time limit for the question.
The default is 15 seconds and must be entered as MM:SS. The maximum time allowed per question is 99 minutes and 59 seconds.

- Correct - Learners earn the set points for correct answers.
- Incorrect - Learners earn the points set for incorrect answers.
- Choose the Results Display.

- Optionally, you can click the Desktop, Tablet Portrait, and Mobile Portrait icons to preview how the question is displayed on different devices.
- Click Preview at any time to view the assignment.
- When finished, click Save.
