EchoVideo offers a Recycle Bin where users can review and restore archived and soft-deleted content. You can always see and access the Trash tab where you can recover your own deleted content. If your Institution Administrator has enabled a deletion policy, then you can recover your soft-deleted content within the period that they have defined, at which point it will be permanently deleted. If your Institution Administrator has not enabled a deletion policy, then you can always recover your soft-deleted content.
If enabled, the initial view of the Recycle Bin page shows Archived Content. Your Institution Administrator can enable or disable the ability for users to see and recover their archived content.
Navigating the Archive and Trash Content Pages
The pages can be filtered by status using the selections in the status bar across the top of the Archive or Trash tabs.
Using the panel on the left, the page can be filtered by Media Type or Details as needed. The Media Type category allows you to search by Audio, 360° Videos, Interactive Media, and Videos. The Details category allows you to filter by Source.
The below figure shows the Archived Content list, the Status bar, and the Search / Filter panel identified for use.
The list can be sorted by clicking a column header. The column being sorted appears with a small triangle to the right of the column name. If the triangle is pointing down, the sort is Descending; pointing up indicates Ascending.
What content can be archived and soft-deleted?
Currently, only playable media can be archived and soft-deleted. This includes:
- Audio
- Video
- Interactive Media
- Spherical (360˚) Video
Presentations and Polls are not able to be archived or soft-deleted. This means that if you accidentally delete one, it will not appear or be recoverable from the Recycle Bin.
