To configure the integration, you will need to work with Echo360's support team. Email support@echo360.com to inform us that you would like to configure the LMS integration. Provide the LMS type you would like to integrate with and the URL for your organization.
Creating a Custom User
- Log in to Blackboard as a System Administrator.
- Go to the System Admin tab.
- Under User, click Users.
- Select Create User.
- Enter EchoPoll for the first name and Integration for the last name.
- Enter EchoPoll for username.
- Create a secure password in the field provided.
- Select Submit.
Enabling REST API Integration
- Log in to Blackboard as a System Administrator.
- Go to the System Admin tab.
- Under Integrations, click Rest API Integrations.
- Click Create Integration.
- Enter the Application ID provided by Echo360 into Application ID.
- Use the browse function to locate and select the EchoPoll user created in the previous section.
- Leave End User Access marked yes and change Authorized To Act As User to Yes.
- Click Submit.
Configuring the LTI Link
- Log into Blackboard as a System Administrator.
- Go to the System Admin tab.
- Locate the Integrations section and click the LTI Tool Providers link.
- Select Register LTI 1.1 Provider.
- In the Provider Domain field, enter the provider domain for your region:

- Leave the Provider Domain Status as Approved. Nothing goes into Secondary Hostnames.
- Change Default Configuration to Set Globally.
- Enter the Tool Provider Key provided by Echo360.

Enter the Tool Provider Secret provided by Echo360.
The Tool Provider Key and Tool Provider Secret requests should be sent to support@echo360.com. Include the Blackboard URL with the request.

Enter the following in Tool Provider Custom Parameters.
user_id=@X@user.id@X@ - To the right of Send User Data, select Send user data only over SSL.
- To the right of User Fields to Send, select Role in course, Name, and Email Address.
- Leave Allow Membership Service Access as no.
- Click Submit.
- Mouse over the provider domain, click the drop-down arrow and select Manage Placements.
- Select Create Placement.
- In the Label field, enter EchoPoll Registration.
- In the Handle field, enter EchoPoll Registration.
- Verify Yes is selected under Availability.
- For Type, select Course tool and Allow Student Access.

Enable the Launch in New Window option.
Some web browsers treat LTI links as pop-ups and block them; this will prevent that from happening.
- To add the icon, go to https://cdn.turningtechnologies.com/favicons/echopoll/ms-icon-310x310.png
- Click Browse and navigate to where you saved the icon. Click Open.
- Enter the Tool Provider URL in the Tool Provider URL field provided by Echo360.
- Click Submit.
