The comments log allows you to view all the comments for a course in one central location. Directly from the comments log you can view, filter, sort, search, and manage your comments.
Access the Comments Log
You can access the comments log for a course in two locations.
From the course tile in the course dashboard. Select the 3 dot menu and select the icon for Comments.
From inside a course, via the comments menu. Open the comments menu, click on the 3 vertical dots, and select Course Comments.
Working with Comments via the Log
Each comment in the course will be displayed in the Comment Log.
If you have proper permissions you can perform all the same actions on comments in the log that you can in the course.
- Resolve the comment
- Edit or Delete the comment.
- Add replies to the comment by expanding it.
If you need to see the comment in context within the course, you can open the page, or the specific block the comment is attached to.
PRO-TIP: You can right click your mouse and open the page or block in a new tab, to continue working in the Comments Log in one tab and see the comment in the course in the other tab.
Filtering, Searching and Sorting in the Comments Log
You can filter the Comments Log view by the pull down menu next to the course title. Show all comments, unread comments, your @ mentions, your comments, or resolved comments.
Search the comments log via the Search button in the upper right.
This will open the Comments search bar. You can search comments and replies here.
You can sort the search results by relevance, most recent, or oldest comments.
You have several options to filter the search results.
- Filter by All or Resolved comments.
- Filter by team member.
- Filter by date range.
