EchoVideo can now be configured with Microsoft (MS) OneDrive to provide users with an automated way to copy their OneDrive media into their EchoVideo Library, and even publish it directly to an EchoVideo course.
The integration provides folder subscription access to instructors. This allows them to subscribe to any of their OneDrive folders. This subscription sets up automatic ingestion of media files from those OneDrive folders into EchoVideo. Furthermore, instructors can set up these subscriptions to automatically publish the ingested media directly into an EchoVideo course section.

Microsoft Teams is in the process of migrating all installations to use SharePoint as the repository for files and recordings uploaded and generated through Teams. Note that in this case, SharePoint is backed by OneDrive, meaning the EchoVideo integration with OneDrive is equivalent to integrating with SharePoint. This is true for both Teams and any SharePoint installation backed by Microsoft OneDrive.
All this means is that, while the OneDrive integration makes a Teams integration with EchoVideo a more complete solution, you do not have to be using Teams to effectively use the EchoVideo OneDrive integration.
