Bookmarks and Confusion Flags help you identify important moments while viewing classroom media in the EchoVideo mobile app. You can create Bookmarks to save locations that you want to review later, or add a Confusion Flag to let your instructor know that a specific part of the recording or presentation needs clarification.

Add a Bookmark

Bookmarks let you save a specific point in a recording or presentation so you can quickly return to it later. All bookmarks are stored with the media and can be accessed from your Notes.

1. Navigate to the point in the media that you want to bookmark.
2. In the player, tap Bookmark, as shown in the image below.
   

The bookmark is saved at the current playback location and added to your Notes, as shown in the image above. Once a bookmark is added, the icon is highlighted for the corresponding 30-second segment of the video or slide. You can return to your bookmarked locations at any time by navigating to the media's Notes tab and selecting the bookmark you want to view.

Remove a Bookmark

If you no longer need a bookmark, you can remove it from the media by tapping it or following the steps below.

1. Navigate to the media's Notes tab.
2. Swipe left on the bookmark you want to remove.
3. Tap Delete, as shown in the image below.
   

The bookmark is removed.

You can only remove Bookmarks that you have added.

Add a Confusion Flag

Confusion Flags let you notify your instructor that a specific point in the media requires additional explanation or clarification. When you add a Confusion Flag, the instructor can see that a student flagged that location in the recording or presentation.

1. Navigate to the point in the media to flag.
2. In the player, tap Confusion Flag, as shown in the image below.
   

The flag is associated with the current playback location and added to your Notes, as shown in the image above. It is visible to your instructor. Once a flag is added, the icon is highlighted for the corresponding 30-second segment of the video or slide. If the media includes both video and presentation content, the Confusion Flag applies to the content displayed at the current playback location.

Remove a Confusion Flag

If you no longer need clarification for a location, you can remove it from the media by tapping it or following the steps below.

1. Navigate to the media's Notes tab.
2. Swipe left on the bookmark you want to remove.
3. Tap Delete, as shown in the image below.
   

The flag is removed.

You can only remove Confusion Flags that you have added.
